The Australian National Data Service (ANDS) is a partnership led by Monash University, working in collaboration with the Australian National University (ANU) and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).
It is funded by the Australian Government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).
ANDS' core purpose is to make Australia’s research data assets more valuable for researchers, research institutions and the nation.
ANDS' flagship service is the Research Data Australia discovery portal where you can find, access and reuse data for research from Australian research organisations, government agencies and cultural institutions.
ANDS has offices in Melbourne (based at Monash University) and Canberra (based at ANU). We also have a small number of state-based outreach officers who work directly with research institutions in their area.
Detailed operational reports, as well as information about ANDS' Steering Committee, can be found on the Governance page.
Strategic partnership with RDS and Nectar
ANDS also works closely with NCRIS partners Research Data Services (RDS) and National eResearch Collaboration Tools and Resources project (Nectar).
The three organisations will be providing a number of coordinated services and joint events for the research community throughout 2017.
