8 April 2016
A series of monthly Tech Talk meetings is being organised by ANDS in partnership with NeCTAR, QCIF, Intersect, VICNode, eRSA and Pawsey, taking place at locations around Australia.
The virtual and face-to-face (V+F2F) meetings will have inspiring online talks and a panel discussion on the monthly topic, followed by informal networking at the hub location.
The first Tech Talk, “Cloud Power Users”, will be on Friday 6 May (3pm AEST) at venues in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Adelaide.
The meetings will provide a national forum for developers working with research data and/or research data management to discuss topics of interest and enable a dialogue between developers and NCRIS facilities (e.g. ANDS, NeCTAR and RDS). All events are free of charge.
This event is for anyone who wants to know more about tech aspects of data and NCRIS facilities, including:
- data scientists
- researchers who are building data tools
- data technologists
- data librarians.
Note: At this stage, only those attending the F2F hub groups can access the virtual speakers and panel. The talks won't be recorded or made available from other locations – attendees must come to one of the hubs to join in.
Further Tech Talks for 2016 will be announced soon.
